Job summary

Tap Electric is seeking a Backend Engineer in Amsterdam to build and evolve backend services powering our mobile app and web platforms. You’ll work in C#/.NET Core on Azure, collaborating with frontend developers to ship complete features.

You’ll participate in product discovery, understand user problems, and validate outcomes while directly engaging with customers and internal stakeholders to shape technical decisions. Our team emphasizes high standards and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

Experience as a backend engineer owning meaningful parts of a system.
Strong experience with C# and .NET Core.
Experience building and maintaining APIs in production; familiarity with testing practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools such as Antigravity and Claude Code.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve backend services powering mobile app and web platforms.
Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to ship end-to-end features.
Participate in product discovery, understanding user problems and validating outcomes.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to uphold high engineering standards.
