Job summary

JDE Peet’s is seeking an IHQ Financial Controller based in the Netherlands to own the financial controlling and reporting for a defined set of International Headquarters entities. You will lead month-end close, balance sheet control, and internal controls while partnering with stakeholders across Accounting & Reporting, Tax and Treasury to ensure accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• 4 - 8 years of experience in financial accounting or controlling
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and month-end close processes (US GAAP exposure is a plus)
• Experience working in an international or complex organization
• SAP experience or the ability to quickly learn new systems
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Act as the end-to-end accountable financial controller for a defined portfolio of IHQ holding entities
• Deliver accurate month‑end close and reporting, including journals, accruals, intercompany transactions and central cost allocations
• Prepare account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews and internal control documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Support external audits and collaborate closely with Accounting & Reporting, Tax, Treasury and Business Control teams
• Own and continuously improve selected IHQ financial processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency
• Assess and support the implementation of changes in accounting standards, policies and ways of working for assigned entities and accounting topics, operating within a matrix‑controlled environment with escalation and overall supervision provided by the Financial Control Manager
