St. Michael College seeks an ICT Workplace Support Assistant (0.8–1.0 FTE) to be the first point of contact at the ICT desk. You will assist students and staff with devices, accounts, and classroom tech, ensuring smooth digital operations throughout the school day.
You’ll handle inquiries by desk, email and phone, and contribute to equipment prep, documentation updates, and inventory checks, while remaining friendly, patient, and firm when needed.
Are you the service-oriented and action-oriented ICT talent who will strengthen our team? St. Michael College is looking for an enthusiastic, approachable, and proactive ICT Workplace Support Assistant (0.8 – 1.0 FTE).
This is a first temporary appointment with the prospect of a permanent employment contract.
Your role as an ICT workplace support specialist
As an ICT workplace support assistant, you are the central face and the face of the ICT department. Your permanent base is our ICT desk, right in the middle of the school. Here, students, teachers, and support staff come to you daily with a wide range of questionsand problems. In addition, you process the questions that come in by email and phone.
No day at our school is the same:
Strong with our target audience: friendly and clear boundaries
You enjoy interacting with high school students. You are patient, approachable, and help students on their way with a smile. But just as importantly: you stand firmly on your own feet. When a student asks very nicely for an exception that is not allowed according to our school rules, you dare to kindly but decisively say ‘no’.
Proactive attitude to work
Is it a bit quiet at the IT desk? You stay at your desk and see for yourself what needs to be done. Whether it’s preparing equipment, updating documentation, checking the workstations, or cleaning the inventory: there’s always something todo at a school, and you’ll handle it independently.
