Job summary

EMW, Inc. is seeking an IaaS Engineer to support, develop, and manage virtualization, storage, backup, and data center infrastructure within the NATO IaaS scope.

The role covers the full lifecycle of services and requires hands-on expertise in data center virtualization. The incumbent will operate NISC IaaS services daily, assist SDMs, and contribute to design, engineering, and integration efforts while ensuring compliance with SLAs and change management processes.

Qualifications

• Active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET clearance.
• Master of Science (MSc) in a related subject with 5+ years post-related experience or Bachelor of Science (BSc) with 7+ years post-related experience.
• Hands-on data center management experience including virtualization, servers, storage, and backup/restore of virtualized environment.
• Experience with data center virtualization using VMware VSphere 7+ and above, blade & rack mount servers.
• Knowledge of VCF software and SAN/NAS storage technologies (TCP/IP, FC, FCoE, iSCSI).
• Ability to work in a team, document designs, and keep configuration records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operation and maintenance of IaaS services.
• Support design, engineering, implementation, operation and integration of Infrastructure Hosting Services.
• Administer and maintain virtual infrastructure and perform system administration tasks.
• Monitor data center equipment and perform timely maintenance and part replacement.
• Follow change management and update CMDB/topology diagrams after changes.
• Assist in development of SOPs and SOIs for IaaS services.
• Occasionally work outside regular hours or be on-call; travel to other centers may be required.
