Job summary

Thales Netherlands is seeking a Technology Innovation/ SW Product Engineer in Amsterdam to drive the exploration, integration and application of new technologies for defense products. You will translate PoCs to demonstrators or MVPs and work on both greenfield and existing codebases.

You will independently develop software in Java, collaborate with stakeholders, and help shape production-ready solutions under time pressure with a strong time-to-value focus.

Qualifications

• Holds a BSc or MSc in a technical discipline such as CS, SWE, Embedded Systems or EE.
• Strong hands-on software engineering skills with a pragmatic approach.
• Experience with Java and openness to multiple languages and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build hands-on software and translate PoCs to demonstrators/MVPs.
• Develop software independently, greenfield and modifying existing codebases.
• Combine technologies into end-to-end solutions and learn new tech quickly.
• Act as discussion partner for stakeholders to move from prototype to production-ready solutions.
