This role is ideal for someone who combines technical curiosity with a hands-on engineering mindset and is able to turn innovative ideas into tangible results. **About the role**As a Technology Innovation/ SW Product Engineer, you will play a key role in exploring, integrating and applying new technologies in the development of new products and capabilities for the defense domain. You quickly understand new technologies, combine different systems and technical components, and translate Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrators and/or Minimal Viable Products (MVPs). You are comfortable working independently on software development tasks, while also collaborating with stakeholders to shape the path from prototype to production-ready solutions. You are able to make pragmatic technical decisions under time pressure and contribute to iterative development with a strong focus on time to value. **Key responsibilities** Build hands-on software and translate PoCs to demonstrators and/or MVPs. * Develop software independently, including both greenfield development and modification of existing codebases.* Develop software in JAVA and show willingness to use other programming languages, tools and frameworks when needed* undefined Combine different technologies, systems and software components into working end-to-end solutions * Rapidly understand and assess new technologies and determine how they can be applied in product development/innovation.* Quickly learn how different technologies interact and make them work together effectively.* Solve technical challenges in a practical and hands-on way.* undefined Act as a discussion partner for stakeholders in defining the path from prototype to production-ready solutions. * Think at system level and maintain a broad view on architecture, dependencies and integration impacts.* Support technical decision-making in environments where speed, uncertainty and delivery pressure are important factors.* Contribute to an iterative development approach to ensure optimal time to value.* Translate technology choices into business value and apply strong business and product thinking to explain why something should be built and for whom. **Your profile** * You are a practical engineer with a strong interest in innovation and product development.* Enjoys working in high tech environments where technology, integration and delivery come together.* Adaptable, analytical, and able to turn technical complexity into workable and valuable solutions.* Hold a BSc or MSc in a technical discipline, preferably Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
