Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Payroll Accountant to manage end-to-end payroll for a diverse workforce in Welkom. You will ensure accurate salaries, tax calculations, and compliance with labor laws, while upholding confidentiality in a hybrid work environment.

The role demands 3–5 years of payroll experience, a degree in Accounting or Finance, and proficiency with VIP Payroll or Sage and MS Excel. You will generate reports for management and authorities and maintain precise payroll records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Accounting/Finance required.
• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of SA payroll legislation and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with VIP Payroll or Sage and MS Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential data with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Maintain employee data for hires, terminations, and changes.
• Calculate and remit payroll taxes and other deductions.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation.
• Prepare payroll reports for management and authorities.
