Job summary

MARIN in Wageningen invites an experienced Marine Systems Engineer to contribute to PPE system design for next generation ships. The role is desk-based, highly collaborative across disciplines, with a hybrid working arrangement.

You will develop and integrate energy systems, build and improve simulation models for the Zero Emission Lab, and support energy concepts with simulations, analysis, and testing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in marine, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience with PPE system design or ship propulsion is preferred.
• Proven experience with Matlab Simulink required; Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate energy system concepts for next-gen ships.
• Develop and improve simulation models for Zero Emission Lab.
• Validate models with hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Collaborate across disciplines within Ships team.
