Job summary

Vitestro, based in Utrecht, is seeking an Integration Engineer to connect hospital LIS systems with the Aletta Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device. You will implement and extend interface transformations, test with hospital staff, and progressively own IoT aspects like provisioning, certificates, updates, and fleet monitoring.

You will work in a Platform & Connectivity team with cloud, backend and device engineers, ensuring configurable integration across diverse LIS back-ends for go-live

Qualifications

• Background in Software Engineering or Backend Development with 3+ years building integrations between systems.
• Proficiency with REST APIs including auth, versioning and error handling.
• Experience with Linux and scripting in Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi or AWS CDK).
• Knowledge of security basics for cross-organizational interfaces (mTLS, certificates, secrets).
• Ability to work with diverse hospital LIS environments and perform interface testing.

Responsibilities

• Realize, maintain, and extend interfaces between LIS and Vitestro devices.
• Write transformations and mappings for LIS environments and test with hospital IT and lab staff.
• Maintain and extend the Apache Camel gateway and grow into device IoT ownership (provisioning, certificates, updates, monitoring).
• Collaborate with cloud, backend, device software, cybersecurity and QA/RA teams on integration projects.
• Engage with hospital IT architects and lab managers to ensure smooth go-live and clear communication.
