Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking an Insurance Manager to join our global in-house Insurance Department. You will shape risk financing and oversee global insurance programs in a multinational context, coordinating with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.

This role supports the Axalta integration and broader strategic initiatives, requiring cross-cultural collaboration and advisory capabilities. The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree, 5–7 years in international insurance, a WFT qualification, and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in law, economics, business administration, or related field.
• 5–7 years in international insurance at multinational company, broker, or carrier.
• Valid WFT qualification (Wet Financieel Toezicht).
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across cultures and functions in a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global risk financing strategies.
• Lead design, renewal, and optimization of global insurance programs.
• Build relationships with insurers, underwriters, brokers, and other external partners.
• Advise business leaders on insurance and risk-related matters.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop insurance expertise within regional hubs in Brazil, China, and the United States while supporting local activities.
• Manage contracts and service agreements with external providers.
• Contribute to the insurance workstream for AkzoNobel–Axalta integration.
