Job summary

Shiftbase, a Netherlands-based workforce software company, seeks a frontend engineer to design and implement features for our SPA. You will join a product team with backend, QA, design and product, taking a feature from rough idea to a usable screen for planners.

You will work with Claude Code and other AI tools, review outputs like a colleague, and write tests with Jest and Playwright to ensure quality in short release cycles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an SPA framework (Angular preferred) with a track record shipping features to real users.
• Experience shipping production code augmented by AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar).
• Automates tests with Jest and Playwright; values test coverage and reliability.
• Able to explain design decisions in reviews and align with product goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and build frontend features from rough product ideas.
• Deliver features with Claude Code from prompt to pull request and review outputs like a teammate.
• Define patterns, conventions and project context for generated frontend code.
• Convert tangled domain rules into user-friendly screens without a manual.
• Fix bugs in own features and in unfamiliar codebases.
• Improve code quality so future work costs less.
• Write and maintain automated tests in Jest and Playwright.
• Ship in short cycles with the product team.
• Pair, review, and teach what you know.
