Job summary

Shiftbase is seeking a frontend engineer to design and ship features for scheduling and time tracking, collaborating in a cross-functional product team. You’ll work with Claude Code, own features end-to-end, and determine what should be automated or handwritten to keep delivery fast and reliable.

You’ll pair with teammates, review code, and expand test coverage using Jest and Playwright, while shaping frontend coding standards for AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with an SPA framework, Angular preferred.
• Depth in React or Vue is advantageous if you can show continuity.
• You ship features to real users at a steady pace and justify what you cut.
• Experience delivering production code with an AI agent (Claude Code, Copilot, etc.).
• You automate tests with Jest/Playwright or equivalents and value tests.
• You simplify tangled domain problems into usable screens.
• You explain your choices in review and when communicating with product managers.
• You work as a peer, pairing, reviewing, and helping teammates grow.

Responsibilities

• Design and build frontend features starting from rough product ideas.
• Deliver features with Claude Code from prompt to pull request and review outputs.
• Write patterns, conventions and context for agents to land generated code in the right shape.
• Turn tangled domain rules into screens users can operate without a manual.
• Fix bugs in own features and in unfamiliar code bases.
• Improve code quality as you add new features in the same area.
• Write and maintain automated tests in Jest and Playwright.
• Ship in short cycles with your product team and participate in reviews.
