Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Leiden is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety Engineer to shape the EVM EHS strategy, govern safety across engineering and maintenance, and drive risk reduction. The role blends on-site leadership with hybrid work, supporting contractors and internal teams in a fast-paced GMP setting.

You will manage PTW/LOTOTO, conduct risk assessments, lead investigations, and coordinate audits while mentoring staff to foster a proactive safety culture at the Leiden

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with EHS in engineering/manufacturing/pharma environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvements and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety governance for engineering, maintenance and projects.
• Own and improve EVM EHS strategy and processes.
• Strengthen contractor safety onboarding and field verification.
• Conduct risk assessments and investigate incidents.
• Support audits, inspections and CAPAs with lessons learned.
