Job summary

Albert Heijn is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer (Kotlin/Java) to build scalable microservices and drive DevOps practices in a hybrid work setting near Zaandam. You will contribute to the Store Replenishment product that powers orders for 1,300+ stores and collaborate across data, digital, and tech teams.

You will work in a cross-functional environment, implement automated testing, ensure security and code quality, and help evolve our technical guidelines for long-term scalability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and modern DevOps pipelines.
• Strong expertise in microservices, Kafka, and databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Proficient with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale Kotlin/Java microservices for Store Replenishment and supply chain ops.
• Design technical solutions aligned with architecture and business processes.
