Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Civil Technical Site Advisor to act as the technical authority for civil construction activities on HVDC project sites. You will work with site management, engineering, quality, HSE, and customer representatives to ensure safe, efficient execution and alignment with project requirements.

You will provide technical guidance, support quality inspections, identify risks, and contribute to continuous improvement across HVDC projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in the high-voltage, power transmission, or energy industry.
• Minimum 5 years of civil construction site activity experience.
• Bachelor or higher degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
• Strong knowledge of quality, safety, and construction best practices.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for civil construction activities on site.
• Support site management with progress, quality, documentation, and compliance monitoring.
• Advise on interfaces with installation, commissioning, logistics, and engineering teams.
• Promote safe working practices and support HSE requirements when on site.
• Review drawings and site changes to ensure alignment with approved requirements.
• Participate in inspections, quality walks, handovers, and non-conformance management.
• Contribute to project planning with scheduling, sequencing, risks, and mitigations.
• Capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement on HVDC projects.
