Job summary

Mars Food & Nutrition Oud-Beijerland site is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead safety, environmental, and security performance. You will chair the Safety Pillar, drive cultural change, and integrate HSE priorities across operations.

You will coach the HSE team and work with site leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, manage incidents, and foster a proactive safety mindset among all associates.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in Health, Safety, Environment, or Security within manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Solid understanding of Safety Pillar Management within MSE/TPM frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and Dutch environmental and safety regulation.
• Fluent Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to drive behavioral safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Experience executing root-cause analyses and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute site HSE strategies with ambitious targets.
• Lead the Safety Pillar under the Mars Supply Excellence framework and standardize safety protocols.
• Coach and empower the HSE team and site leaders to foster safety culture.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage environmental/regulatory relationships.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, driving learning and corrective actions.
• Monitor HSE metrics and report insights to site leadership to influence decisions.
• Represent the site in global forums and share best practices.
