Job summary
Fastned is seeking an Health, Safety & Environment Officer for the Netherlands and Belgium. You will act as the on-the-ground HSE representative, driving culture, training and engagement across markets while ensuring safety and compliance across projects, stations, and offices.
You will own the HSE Culture & Training pillar, lead campaigns, communicate complex safety updates clearly, and partner with local teams to implement improvements.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in an HSE role.
- Strong incident investigation and corrective action skills.
- Experience with data dashboards and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Lead the HSE Culture & Training pillar for NL & BE across markets.
- Design and deliver campaigns to keep HSE top of mind.
- Coordinate incident reporting and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure legal compliance with Dutch and Belgian HSE legislation.
- Support design and construction reviews with HSE requirements.
- Deliver toolbox talks and on-site HSE support.
- Monitor trends and propose improvement actions.
- Use data to prioritise actions and support decisions.
