Job summary

MatchWornShirt is seeking an HR & Recruitment Intern to join our People Team in Amsterdam. You’ll support early-talent recruitment, source passive candidates, and help grow our employer brand across Dutch universities.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with recruitment, HRIS administration (HiBob), onboarding, and employer branding projects that influence how fans engage with live sporting moments. Ideal candidates are studying HR or Organisational Psychology, available for a 6-month internship

Qualifications

• Enrolled in HR or related field; seeking internship.
• Available for full-time, 6-month internship starting February.
• Fluent in English; other languages a bonus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter with proactive ownership of workstreams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Data literacy with discretion around sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing, screening and pipeline management for internships.
• Develop passive candidate talent maps on LinkedIn to support senior hires.
• Explore AI/automation to improve recruitment workflows.
• Grow presence on Dutch universities and refresh employer branding.
• Assist HRIS admin and onboarding logistics (HiBob).
• Launch and run Intern Community & Buddy Program.
• Own select projects related to Employer Branding, DEI or Data.

About the role

As our HR & Recruitment Intern you'll play a central role in supporting the daily operations and growth of our People Team, driving recruitment execution for early-talent roles, sourcing top passive talent for senior positions, and representing the MWS employer brand across university campuses.

You’ll get hands-on experience working directly with our team, getting complete exposure to recruitment, people operations, HR tech and employer branding, and seeing your work directly shape how fans and collectors experience live sporting moments!

What you’ll do

• Recruitment & Sourcing: Own sourcing, screening and pipeline management for our internships, while building out passive-candidate talent maps on LinkedIn to support senior hires.

• HR Tech & Innovation: Explore and pitch smart ways to bring AI and automation into our recruitment workflows, and dig into the data to help us hire faster and smarter.

• Early-Talent Outreach & Employer Branding: Grow our presence on Dutch university campuses, map what competitors offer young talent, and keep our careers page and candidate touchpoints fresh and on-brand.

• People Ops & HRIS Admin: Be a first point of contact for employee questions, keep our HRIS (HiBob) accurate and up to date, and help onboarding logistics run like clockwork for every new joiner.

• Community & Legacy Projects: Launch and run our Intern Community & Buddy Program, and give the People Intern Handbook a well-deserved refresh as your own legacy project.

• Space for your own initiatives: Take ownership of your own projects, depending on your university requirements and take our People team to the next level. This can circle around Employer Branding, DE&I, Data, AI or similar.

What you bring

• Education: Currently studying towards a degree in HR, Organisational Psychology, or another relevant field.

• Availability: Ready for a full-time, 6-month internship starting in February.

• Languages: Fluent in English (both written and spoken); any extra languages are a bonus!

• Strong Organizational Skills & Detail Orientation: Ability to juggle HRIS admin, data accuracy, and event logistics without missing details.

• Proactive Ownership: Self-starter attitude; comfortable managing workstreams independently once trained.

• Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Sociable, empathetic, and clear in written/verbal communication across all organisational levels and external stakeholders.

• Tech-Savvy & Adaptable: Comfortable learning new automation tools, AI workflows, and data management systems.

• Creativity & Initiative: High drive for designing community initiatives and employer branding projects.

• Data Literacy & Discretion: Able to summarise data into clear overview reports while maintaining strict confidentiality around sensitive employee data.
