Join the team at Monday Merch in the heart of Rotterdam and gain hands-on experience in building and scaling a HR Operation function in an international scale-up environment.

As our HR Operations Intern, you will work closely with the HR team and play an active role in shaping the employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. This is not a "sit and observe" internship, you will contribute directly to HR operations, onboarding, culture initiatives, financial administration, and event logistics from day one.

The Role

You will support day-to-day HR Operations while helping to create an engaging work environment. You will gain exposure to the full 360° HR cycle and learn how People Operations, culture, and business support intersect in a high-growth scale-up.

You enjoy bringing structure to moving pieces, spotting opportunities for improvement, and keeping things running smoothly whether that’s streamlining an HR workflow, handling invoicing, or coordinating a team event.

Key Responsibilities

• HR Operations & Administration: Support day-to-day HR administration across the employee lifecycle. Maintain employee records, HR documentation, contract admin, and systems accurately and confidentially.

• Onboarding & Employee Experience: Coordinate and continuously improve the onboarding experience for new hires. Prepare onboarding schedules, welcome packs, equipment, and first-day logistics.

• Financial & Admin Support: Assist with HR-related invoicing, vendor administration, and operational expense tracking.

• Culture, Events & Operations: Help organize team events, celebrations, and company initiatives. Provide operational support and handle occasional logistics or errands to keep the office and team running smoothly.

• Recruitment Support: Assist with interview scheduling, candidate communication, and maintaining a smooth candidate experience.

Who We Are Looking For

• Organised, proactive, and highly detail-oriented

• Eager to build a career in HR, People Ops, or Business Operations

• Comfortable balancing structured HR tasks with dynamic operational support

• Able to handle confidential information professionally and responsibly

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Fluent in English

• Available for 32-40 hours per week for 6 months
