Job summary

Medtronic plc in the Netherlands seeks an in-country HR operations specialist to apply HR best practices, drive AI-enabled process improvements, and own local compliance. You will partner with HRBPs and the People Solutions team to deliver accurate transactions in Workday and related systems.

You will translate global policies to local practices, maintain high‑quality records, and support EurAsia HR initiatives with AI‑driven reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR Business Operations, HR Generalist, or a similar in-country role.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and process efficiency.
• Knowledge of local labor laws, social legislation, and country-specific HR compliance.
• Advanced MS Office; hands-on experience with Workday or ServiceNow is advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; French is a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence & AI Integration: act as the in-country contact to establish standards and integrate AI into HR tasks.
• Continuous Improvement: partner with People Connect and People Solutions to drive process improvements using data analytics and AI insights.
• Local Compliance & Case Management: manage end-to-end HR transactions in Workday and ServiceNow, owning escalated cases.
• Documentation & Local Governance: maintain high-integrity records and local employment documents.
• Strategic Project Support: provide AI-enhanced reporting for EurAsia HR initiatives and guide users to self-service tools.

A Day in the Life

• Contributes to a world-class employee experience by applying HR best practices effectively and consistently.
• Provides deep business knowledge and HR expertise to HR business partners (HRBPs), enabling them to provide strategic support across the organization. More complex, escalated HR cases, coordinating responses effectively and efficiently.
• Elevates on-demand solutions (like the HR Portal, HR virtual assistant and Workday) as the go‑to knowledge resource for HRBPs and their clients.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence & AI Integration: Acting as the primary in‑country point of contact to establish and maintain operational standards. You will proactively identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into daily HR tasks, ensuring transactions are processed with high accuracy and programs are administered efficiently.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborating closely with People Connect coordinators and the broader People Solutions team. You will use data analytics and AI insights to drive process improvements, optimizing the information flow between HR Partners and global centers of expertise.
• Local Compliance & Case Management: Contributing to the end‑to‑end lifecycle of in‑country HR transactions. You will perform rigorous verification of required documentation and troubleshooting complex processes within Workday and ServiceNow and other Tools. You retain full ownership of escalated cases, ensuring a seamless experience for the end user. Serving as the definitive resource for HRBPs on country‑specific social legislation, employment terms, and local benefits. You will translate global and regional policies into compliant local practices, ensuring Medtronic remains an employer of choice in the region.
• Documentation & Local Governance: Maintaining high‑integrity digital records and generating localized employment contracts, correspondence, and legal forms. You will ensure all local completion requirements are met while adhering to global scanning and filing standards.
• Strategic Project Support: Providing project coordination support for EurAsia Group HR initiatives. You will empower Senior Leaders by providing AI‑enhanced reporting and guidance on HR systems (Workday, Recognize, etc.), directing them to self‑service tools and documented resources as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR Business Operations, HR Generalist, or a similar in‑country operational role.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and process efficiency.
• Knowledge of local labor laws, social legislation, and country‑specific HR compliance requirements.
• Advanced command of MS Office programs; hands‑on experience with Workday or ServiceNow is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to navigate cross‑functional teams in a global matrix environment.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken), French would be a benefit.

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly organized with a strong aptitude for detail‑oriented paperwork, follow‑up, and complex project coordination.
• An active listener and team player with effective problem‑solving skills and a quality‑oriented approach to service delivery.

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik: Netherlands: 44,800.00 EUR - 67,200.00 EUR | The final salary within this range will be determined based on objective, job‑related criteria, including relevant experience, skills and qualifications, in accordance with our compensation framework.
