Air Liquide in the Netherlands seeks an HR Benefit & Labor Law Manager to lead employee relations, ensure compliance with labor laws, and support a positive working environment. You will partner with managers and HR business partners to strengthen social dialogue and policy implementation.
The role requires expert knowledge of Benelux labor and fiscal regulations, strong communication, and discretion handling sensitive information across multiple countries.
The HR Benefit & Labor Law Manager is a key member of the Human Resources team, managing employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, deep understanding of labor law, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
You participate in (HR) projects where the impact on social consultation or the socio-legal context is important. You become a key HR partner for the managers & HR Business Partners bringing a new eyes and capacity to renovate the social dialogue and the local social industrial strategy. You help with the organization and smooth running of formal & informal social consultation (works council and union delegation) and you guide business stakeholders with regard to social consultation. You ensure the preparation, negotiation & implementation of company collective labor agreements, employment regulations and agreements. You develop and implement strategies to improve employee morale and engagement , in a context of important business , cultural and HR organisation, process and tools transformations. You provide guidance and develop policy for the disciplinary process, ensuring fairness and consistency.
Lead initiatives to simplify our compensation & benefits offer in order to reduce our payroll complexity. You stay up-to-date with all changes in local labor & fiscal laws and regulations thanks to an activity watch activity in the both geographies ( Bel and NL). Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices. Communicate and educate employees on HR policies and procedures. Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization. You ensure company policies and practices are compliant with legal requirements. You advise the management & HR team on legal and regulatory issues related to employment and thanks to your local network brings continuous benchmark insights. You manage and respond to legal inquiries and claims related to employment. You conduct internal audits to ensure compliance. You design, implement and administer Benefits projects that deliver an optimal employee experience. You evaluate and recommend changes to benefit plans based on employee needs, market trends, and cost analysis.
Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices. Communicate and educate employees on HR policies and procedures. Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization.
Management & behavior skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Ability to adapt work style in several countries (Benelux) and with corporate level Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to influence stakeholders and steer behaviour to achieve objectives , thanks to robust listener skills and capacity to create truth. You understand our business lines and have a genuine interest in the targets and ambitions of the business and understand how you can positively contribute to their achievement.
Strong experience in employee relations and social law. Experience of working in an international matrix organisation. Experience and knowledge of Compensation & Benefits topics at Benelux level. In-depth knowledge of local labor & fiscal laws and regulations at Benelux level.
Working knowledge of Dutch, French & English.
