Job summary

Invisix is seeking an HPC & Compute Infrastructure Engineer to own the compute backbone of our metrology platform and internal development environment. You will translate requirements into concrete hardware, select components, and ensure reliable operation across product and in-house workloads.

You will collaborate with Algorithm and Software teams to optimize performance, lead supplier engagements, and build tooling for provisioning, monitoring and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in HPC or compute infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems, GPU/accelerator hardware, high-speed networking and storage.
• Experience with Slurm, Ansible or containers.
• Active use of AI tooling in scripting, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Self-driven attitude with startup mindset and curiosity to dig into the software stack.

Responsibilities

• Own the HPC and compute infrastructure for product and in-house environment; set direction and keep it running.
• Translate compute/throughput needs into hardware specifications: processing, memory, storage, networking.
• Act as technical lead towards suppliers: evaluate options, challenge proposals, and manage deliveries.
• Collaborate with algorithm and software teams to optimize how the stack uses compute for performance gains.
• Set up and maintain tooling around infrastructure: provisioning, monitoring and job scheduling.
• Support installation of product compute at customer sites, within IT and security requirements.
• Grow into adjacent responsibilities like capacity planning and budget input.
