Job summary

Hotel Arena Amsterdam is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our internal housekeeping team and ensure guests enjoy an exceptionally good stay. You will manage daily operations across shifts, supervising Room Attendants, General Service staff, and Housemen, and collaborate with Front Office on room status and VIP arrivals.

You should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, reside in or near Amsterdam, and speak Dutch, English, or Spanish.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant housekeeping experience.
• MBO level 3 working and thinking ability.
• Live in or near Amsterdam and can reach us by bike or public transport.
• Proficient in Dutch, English, or Spanish.
• Flexible and willing to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Openings: prepare room lists, assign tasks, oversee VIP room preparation.
• Coordinate daily workflow with Front Office for room statuses, VIP arrivals, and requests.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to uphold high standards.
• Supervise Room Attendants, General Service staff, and Housemen.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning products and coordinate with Technical Department for repairs.
• Conduct final inspection round at closing and compile daily handover.
• Assist with quality programs, performance reviews, and administrative tasks.
