Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam is seeking a Housekeeping & Quality Manager to lead and elevate the current housekeeping team in a luxury setting.

You will work closely with Front Office and other departments, implement hygiene and quality checks, and design schedules balancing daily operations with periodic tasks. The role requires hands-on leadership and a passion for guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leadership experience in luxury hotel housekeeping.
• Experience training and developing staff.
• Strong operational housekeeping knowledge.
• Flexible scheduling to meet operations needs.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Focus on delivering luxury guest experiences.
• Handle procurement and stock control of linens and laundry.
• Process and monitor invoices and costs.
• MEWS experience is a plus.
• Manage Lost & Found procedures and administration.

• Fluent in Dutch and/or English; additional languages welcome.
• EU/EEA passport or valid work permit required; no sponsorship.

Are you a passionate professional with leadership skills and a keen eye for cleanliness and details? Are you the enthusiastic Housekeeping & Quality Manager that is capable of helping the current housekeeping team to excel? Then please join our team.

What will you be doing?

As Housekeeping & Quality Manager, you act as a dynamic link, understanding that luxury lies in the details and that a strong relationship with other hotel departments is essential.

The current housekeeping team (partly in-house, partly outsourced) consists of supervisors, room attendants, public area staff, turndown staff, minibar staff, housemen, and linen room staff. Through your inspiring, motivating, and coaching approach, you build a strong relationship with the Front Office, ensuring that early arrivals and groups can check in immediately and that room changes are handled seamlessly. With your hands-on, proactive mindset, you conduct additional checks regarding hygiene, quality, and productivity to maintain high standards, and you aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves when necessary. This enables you to respond immediately to feedback from guests and colleagues. You create schedules that seamlessly integrate periodic tasks with daily operations while ensuring productivity remains high.

In the former Shipping House of Amsterdam, you’ll find one of the city’s most iconic five-star hotels: Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. The hotel features 205 luxurious rooms, including 22 suites, 8 meeting and event rooms, a Bar Lounge, and a Spa & Wellness center. Conveniently located just 500 meters from Amsterdam Central Station and easily accessible from the highway, it’s a prime destination.

Your qualifications

• At least 2 years of leadership experience, ideally as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Manager within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong operational Housekeeping experience and knowledge, with the ability to train, coach, and develop colleagues.
• A flexible approach and the ability to adapt your schedule according to operational needs.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills.
• A passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Manage procurement and stock control of guest supplies, linen and laundry processes.
• Process and control invoices, monitor costs and take corrective action if required.
• Do you have experience with MEWS? That’s a plus.
• Manage Lost & Found procedures and administration.
• You have a BHV diploma and have knowledge of Social Hygiene.
• You are skilled in Dutch and/or English. Do you speak an additional language? ¡Muy bien, sehr gut!
• Legally authorized to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit (please note that we do not provide visa or work permit sponsorship).

• An uplifting position of 38 hours in the heart of Amsterdam.
• A salary in accordance with the Hospitality collective labor agreement, 3461.70 EUR to 3898.43 EUR, based on a full-time contract of 38 hours and depending on your experience.
