Job summary

Vondel Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Employee/Runner to keep rooms and public areas pristine, ensuring a welcoming stay for guests. You’ll assist with linen flow, supplies, and occasional bed placements while supporting the housekeeping team.

The role offers a market-based salary plus travel allowances, holiday pay, and various bonuses including a Canal Cruise reward on renewal. A Dutch health insurance policy is required.

Qualifications

• Must live in the Netherlands and have valid Dutch health insurance.
• Valid Dutch driving licence (license).
• Able to perform physically demanding work.
• Experience cleaning hotels/restaurants is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean guests' rooms to ensure they feel at home and keep public areas, corridors, stairs, terrace, toilets, and restaurant spotless.
• Manage linen reception and supply cleaning materials to staff.
• Assist with placing extra beds and monitor the warehouse; support housekeeping as needed.

YOUR JOB

As a Housekeeping Employee/Runner, you ensure that our guests' rooms are spotless so that they feel right at home. Thanks to you, the public areas, corridors, staircases, terrace, toilets, and restaurant shine. The reception of linen is also your responsibility. You provide all employees with the materials they need to clean the hotel. When extra beds need to be placed, you are responsible for this. You are the watchful eye over our warehouse and support the Housekeeping team where necessary.

At Vondel Hotels, a flexible attitude is appreciated and rewarded through extra allowances on top of your salary. You will receive these allowances when you fill in a shift at short notice or when you work at a different hotel from the one you usually work at.

Note!: For this position, it is mandatory to live in the Netherlands and to have valid Dutch health insurance.

The (perfect) match

You love working in a team because you believe that many hands make light work. You enjoy working in a hotel environment and have an eye for detail. You have a valid driver's license in the Netherlands. It is also important that you can perform physically demanding work. Experience in cleaning hotels and/or restaurants is a plus.
