Job summary

Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee the hotel's technical systems and lead maintenance activities on-site in Amsterdam. You will monitor repairs, coordinate with external suppliers, and contribute to safety and energy efficiency while supporting the Maintenance Manager.

The role requires a technical background, hands-on problem solving, and leadership to motivate the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• You have a technical background and work experience in this field.
• Experience in a hotel or service environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance services for the hotel's technical systems and carry out repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare rosters and give instructions regarding electrical and mechanical aspects.
• Manage maintenance contacts with external companies for malfunctions in lifts, air conditioning, cooling and sprinkler installations.
• Oversee periodic inspections, checks and maintenance/cleaning of equipment, and renovations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, working conditions, HACCP and presentation methods.
