Job summary

Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam City Center is seeking an Engineer to join the Technical Department. You will maintain electrical, mechanical, and building systems across guest rooms and public areas, conducting preventive maintenance and supporting renovations.

The role requires 1–2 years in a technical maintenance or engineering setting, strong English communication, and flexibility for a rotating weekend schedule and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a technical maintenance or engineering role.
• Knowledge of electrical installations and/or mechanical engineering.
• An eye for detail.
• Flexibility and a positive, Yes I Can! Attitude.
• Is a creative problem-solver.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Flexibility to participate in a fair rotating weekend schedule shared across the technical team, and take part in the on-call duty roster.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and technical equipment.
• Repairing electrical, mechanical, and building-related installations.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Installing and maintaining electrical systems.
• Preparing and supporting renovation and improvement projects.
• Working together with external contractors and ensuring work is completed safely.
• Identifying opportunities before small issues become major problems.
