Job summary

Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam City Center is seeking a dedicated Engineer to join our Technical Department. You will help keep the hotel safe, operational, and running without interruption while collaborating with a skilled team on maintenance and renovation projects.

In this role you will perform preventive maintenance, repair electrical and mechanical systems, interact with external contractors, and help anticipate issues before they affect guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a technical maintenance or engineering role (hotel experience is a plus, not a must).
• Knowledge of electrical installations and/or mechanical engineering.
• An eye for detail.
• Flexibility and a positive, Yes I Can attitude.
• Creative problem-solver.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Flexibility to participate in a rotating weekend schedule and on-call duty roster.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and equipment.
• Repair electrical, mechanical, and building-related installations.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Install and maintain electrical systems.
• Prepare and support renovation and improvement projects.
• Work with external contractors and ensure safe completion.
• Identify opportunities before small issues become major problems.
