Job summary

Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam City Center is seeking an Engineer to join the Technical Department. You will help keep the hotel safe, operational, and running smoothly by performing maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and services.

We value 1–2 years in a technical maintenance role, knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. English fluency and weekend rotation flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a technical maintenance or engineering role (hotel experience is a plus, not a must).
• Knowledge of electrical installations and/or mechanical engineering.
• An eye for detail.
• Flexibility and a positive, Yes I Can! Attitude.
• Is a creative problem-solver.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and technical equipment.
• Repairing electrical, mechanical, and building-related installations.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Installing and maintaining electrical systems.
• Preparing and supporting renovation and improvement projects.
• Working together with external contractors and ensuring work is completed safely.
• Identifying opportunities before small issues become major problems.

As our Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping our hotel safe, operational, and running without interruption. You'll join our technical department, where teamwork and collaboration are key to deliver the best guest experience.

Your tasks would include:

• Maintaining guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and technical equipment;
• Repairing electrical, mechanical, and building-related installations;
• Carrying out preventive maintenance and inspections;
• Installing and maintaining electrical systems;
