Job summary

nhow Amsterdam RAI is offering a summer 2026 internship in Duty Management. You will train across departments and, after onboarding, assume the Manager on Duty role, greeting guests and handling questions and emergencies.

You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in Hospitality or have at least 1 year in a guest-facing hotel role; at least 6 months availability, strong service, and command of English (Dutch a plus).

Qualifications

• You are currently enrolled for Bachelor's or Master's in Hospitality or any other relevant study.
• If not you must have worked at a hotel for a minimum of 1 year at a guest facing role.

Responsibilities

• You will become familiar with all facets of the hotel industry and train in all departments before assuming duties.
• After onboarding you will independently fulfill the role of Manager on Duty and be the first contact for guests.
• You will assist guests with questions, comments, and complaints and support other departments during peak times or emergencies.
• You will handle calamities and emergencies such as fire alarms or sick guests, ensuring smooth operations.

What part will you play in creating the unforgettable?

During this internship you will become familiar with all facets of the hotel industry. First, you will be getting trained in all the departments before you can assume your duties. After that, you independently fulfil the role of Manager on Duty. You are the first contact for guests. You assist guests with questions, comments, and complaints and, if necessary, you assist other departments whenever it is needed most. You will be also dealing with calamities and any other emergencies such as fire alarms, sick guests, and similar.

You know the hotel, your colleagues, and the guests like no other. As a result, your knowledge and skills in the field of Hotel Management are developed quickly and you will be fully prepared for your career as a young professional in the hospitality industry.
