Job summary

OCRE Offshore Services is seeking a seasoned Lead Engineer Offshore Wind to oversee subsea cable systems on complex offshore wind projects. The role acts as the primary technical link between client, management, engineering, production and quality teams.

The ideal candidate will lead engineering activities, translate requirements into cable solutions, and ensure robust analyses and test programs throughout project execution. Dutch language preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical/engineering discipline.
• Experience with high-voltage cables, subsea cables or offshore wind.
• Knowledge of FEM and COMSOL, ANSYS, OrcaFlex or similar software.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical or cable system engineering.
• Good command of English; Dutch language skills preferred.

Lead Engineer Offshore Wind - Subsea Cable Systems

Dutch language proficiency preferred

Permanent or Interim | Lochem | 32-40 hours per week

OCRE Offshore Services is looking for an experienced Lead Engineer Offshore Wind to work on complex offshore wind projects within the field of subsea cable systems.

In this role, you will have technical responsibility for the engineering scope and act as the key link between the client, project management, engineering, production and quality teams.

What will you be doing?

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities;
• translate client requirements into technical cable solutions;
• analyse current-carrying capacity and thermal performance;
• analyse short-circuit currents, fatigue and free spans;
• coordinate and review technical analyses and test programmes;
• act as the technical point of contact for clients throughout engineering and project execution.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical/engineering discipline;
• experience with high-voltage cables, subsea cables or offshore wind;
• knowledge of FEM and preferably experience with COMSOL, ANSYS, OrcaFlex or similar software;
• experience in electrical, mechanical or cable system engineering;
