Job summary

Our client in Haarlem, Netherlands, seeks a Facility Lead to own the facility engineering scope for a High Potent Secondary Packaging project. You will coordinate concept through handover, with on-site presence at least 3 days per week on a pharma/biotech site in Haarlem.

The role requires coordinating CSA, HVAC, utilities and other building systems, ensuring GMP compliance and strong documentation discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering facility/infrastructure engineering scope in an industrial environment, preferably pharma/biotech.
• Strong understanding of at least one discipline (CSA / HVAC / utilities / fire protection) and ability to coordinate across disciplines.
• Experience in regulated environments with GMP expectations and strong documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of facility engineering scope including CSA, HVAC, black utilities, fire protection, and associated building systems.
• Support development and review of facility concepts, Basis of Design, and detailed design deliverables.
• Coordinate facility engineering activities across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and turnover.
• Review and approve design documents, calculations, technical specifications, and vendor deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch regulations, internal engineering standards, GMP, and EHS requirements.
• Participate in constructability reviews, risk assessments, PHAs, GMP reviews, and safety assessments.
• Coordinate interfaces with process equipment, utilities, automation/digital systems, and site operations.
• Support commissioning, qualification, operational readiness, and handover activities for facility systems.
• Collaborate with engineering partners, contractors, Quality, EHS, Operations, and Procurement teams.
• Maintain documentation in project document management systems and support reporting requirements.
• Own assigned workstreams and drive timely resolution of technical issues and project risks.
