How You Keep The Engine Running With Us

As a Licensed Engineer B1.3 Cougar, you will work within our Defense operations supporting the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF). In this role, you perform and certify maintenance activities on the Cougar military helicopter, contributing directly to the safety, availability and operational readiness of the fleet.

You work hands-on with aircraft structures, engines and mechanical and electrical systems within the B1 domain. Your activities range from inspections and troubleshooting to repairs, modifications, testing and the release of completed maintenance work.

As a licensed engineer, your responsibilities go beyond performing maintenance yourself. You also inspect and certify work performed by non-certifying technicians and provide them with technical guidance and instructions. This makes you an important technical authority within the team.

You work according to established maintenance procedures, technical documentation, quality standards and applicable military and civil aviation requirements.

As Licensed Engineer B1.3 Cougar, You Will
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Cougar helicopters within the B1 domain
  • Carry out inspections, removal and installation, repairs, modifications, testing and adjustment activities
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system defects and resolve reported aircraft issues
  • Inspect aircraft structures, engines and associated mechanical and electrical systems
  • Document defects and required maintenance activities and develop repair proposals using approved technical data
  • Accurately record maintenance activities in the required documentation, forms and aircraft logbooks
  • Perform quality inspections on your own work and work carried out by non-certifying technicians
  • Release maintenance activities within the scope of your Certification Authorization
  • Ensure the correct use of maintenance manuals, procedures, tools, equipment and approved data
  • Provide technical guidance and instruction to non-certifying technicians and contracted personnel
  • Work closely with the Team Leader and other specialists to organize maintenance activities efficiently
  • Continuously contribute to improving safety, quality and operational performance
How You Are Valuable To Us

You are a technically skilled and responsible aviation professional who understands the responsibility that comes with being a Licensed Engineer. You work accurately, follow procedures and maintain high standards for safety and quality.

At the same time, you are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping other technicians develop their skills.

Required
  • Completed EASA Part-66 B1.3 training through a recognized Part-147 training organization

  • The required documented practical experience in accordance with applicable Part-66/Part-145 requirements for obtaining or maintaining Certification Authorization
  • Relevant aircraft or helicopter maintenance experience
  • Strong practical and technical skills, including the use of measuring equipment, test equipment and specialist tooling
  • Ability to read and work with aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
Preferred
