Job summary

Fokker Services Group is seeking an HSE Engineer to develop, maintain and improve our Health, Safety and Environmental standards within a complex aviation maintenance setting.

You will bridge management and shop floor, advise on HSE matters and help implement ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 across operations, risk analyses and audits to strengthen safety culture and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) or equivalent working and thinking level.
• At least 2 years of relevant HSE experience.
• MVK (Middle-Level Safety Expert) qualification.
• HVK (Higher-Level Safety Expert) or Occupational Hygiene qualification is considered an advantage.
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and current developments.
• Experience working with management systems.
• Experience within a technical, industrial, maintenance or operational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
• Experience preparing reports and communicating HSE performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, decisive, resilient and hands-on approach.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English at B2 level or higher.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; Visio is an advantage.

• Support and coordinate audits, inspections and permit compliance activities.
• Perform safety walks with employees and managers.
• Support safe management of hazardous substances.
• Monitor, analyze and report HSE performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Promote safety awareness and contribute to a strong safety culture.

As an HSE Engineer, you play a key role in developing, maintaining and continuously improving our Health, Safety and Environmental standards at Fokker Services Group.

As an HSE Engineer, you play a key role in developing, maintaining and continuously improving our Health, Safety and Environmental standards at Fokker Services Group.

You work in a complex operational aviation environment where aircraft and component maintenance activities are performed alongside a broad range of technical, logistical and specialist support processes. Safety, sustainability and compliance are therefore essential to everything we do.

As our HSE specialist and safety ambassador, you act as the bridge between management and the operational work floor. You advise the organization on HSE-related matters, identify risks and translate legislation, standards and company requirements into practical solutions.

An important part of your role is the further development and assurance of our management systems in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001, covering environmental management, occupational health & safety and energy management.

You are visible within the organization and comfortable challenging existing ways of working when necessary. By engaging colleagues and management in HSE topics, you help us continuously strengthen our safety culture and operational performance.

As HSE Engineer, You Will

• Perform safety walks together with employees and managers
• Support the safe management of hazardous substances
• Monitor, analyze and report HSE performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Promote safety awareness and actively contribute to a strong safety culture throughout the organization
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve HSE performance

The Team

You will be based at our Woensdrecht, where aircraft maintenance, component maintenance and various technical and logistical activities come together.

This makes HSE at Fokker Services Group both challenging and highly diverse. One moment you may be discussing an operational safety risk on the shop floor, while the next you are supporting an audit, investigating an incident or working on improvements to one of our ISO management systems.

You will interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization, from technicians and operational teams to management and external stakeholders.
