Job summary

Wacker Biotech Amsterdam is seeking a Head of Site Management to provide strategic direction for the Amsterdam site, overseeing production, MSAT, BPD, engineering, maintenance, validation, automation and EHS. You will drive operational excellence, ensure safety and compliance, and lead a high-performing team.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 10+ years in senior leadership within regulated manufacturing, with a strong track record in transformation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences or related field.
• At least 10 years of senior leadership experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences or regulated manufacturing industries.
• Extensive experience in GMP-regulated production environments.
• Strong track record in operational excellence, organizational transformation and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an advantage.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead change, develop people and build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and operational leadership across the Amsterdam site.
• Lead teams across manufacturing, MSAT, BPD, Engineering, Maintenance, Validation & Automation and EHS.
• Drive productivity, efficiency and cost competitiveness while ensuring safety and compliance.
