Job description

Head of Corporate Reporting&Accounting | Private Equity Environment | Be aware: must be living in the Netherlands for application to be considered.

A Head of Corporate Reporting&Accounting role with real pressure, real expectations, and real exposure.

This is a position for someone who understands how reporting should look but is equally comfortable delivering it in an environment where timelines are tight, priorities shift daily, and stakeholder expectations remain uncompromisingly high.

The company is operating in a Private Equity setting with a clear value creation agenda and a possible exit scenario ahead. That brings intensity:

  • Compressed deadlines
  • Continuous ad hoc requests from investors
  • High standards on accuracy, transparency and speed
  • Constant balancing of control and delivery

This is not a role for someone looking for structure and predictability. This is for someone who is sharper under pressure and deliberately chooses that environment.

The Role

Full ownership of group reporting and accounting, combined with leadership responsibility and direct exposure to senior stakeholders. Reporting into the Group Finance Director, the role acts as the connecting point between reporting, audit, technical accounting and transaction activity. Besides the CR&A team, Group Finance consists of Group FP&A, Treasury and Tax. The teams work closely together and consist of ambitious and highly motivated professionals. The atmosphere can be characterized as fast paced and dynamic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and drive group reporting and consolidation, ensuring accurate, timely and insightful output;
  • Lead and develop a high-performing accounting and reporting team (2 direct reports total team of 6);
  • Coordinate shareholder reporting and take ownership of the annual report;
  • Act as primary contact for group and statutory audits;
  • Lead on complex IFRS topics, including drafting position papers;
  • Own and evolve the group accounting manual and policies;
  • Play a key role in M&A and transaction-related activities, including PPA and integration topics;
  • Deliver reporting that adds real decision-making value in a PE environment;
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems and tooling (e.g. OneStream).
Profile
  • Profile10–15 years across Big 4 and international corporate environments;
  • Strong foundation in group reporting, consolidation and technical accounting (IFRS);
  • Experience in Private Equity, M&A or transaction-driven environments is a strong plus;
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, fast-moving setting;
  • Ownership-driven mindset with strong delivery focus;
  • Available full-time, part time is unfortunately not possible for this role.
What Drives Success in This Role
  • Thriving in a high-demand, high-expectation environment;
  • Delivering when information is incomplete or evolving;
  • Taking ownership without relying on perfect structure;
  • Operating at the intersection of reporting, performance and transactions;
  • Being a key contributor in a business working towards value realisation and potential exit.
Compensation
  • Bonus and mobility package;
  • Significant exposure to senior leadership and investors
