Job summary

Hans Boodt Mannequins in Zwijndrecht is seeking a Head of Logistics to lead the Shipping department and ensure smooth global flow of goods from inbound to outbound. You will manage a small international team and drive large, cross-border projects with Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and Warehouse.

You will monitor costs, service levels, and delivery times, respond to process issues, and propose improvements. A dynamic, fashion-focused environment awaits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in logistics in an international environment.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems, SAP S/4HANA a plus.
• Ability to drive improvements and coordinate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Shipping department and manage a small international team.
• Coordinate large international projects with Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and Warehouse.
• Monitor delivery times, costs and service levels, and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare invoicing for Finance and report to COO weekly.
• Identify improvements and drive process enhancements.

At Hans Boodt Mannequins we're looking for a Head of Logistics to join our team.

About The Job

As Head of Logistics, you are ultimately responsible for our Shipping department. In this role, you work closely with your colleagues within the Shipping team and ensure that the global flow of goods, from inbound to outbound and cross-trade, runs as smoothly as possible. Since Hans Boodt Mannequins operates worldwide, you will also collaborate with colleagues from other countries, including China. It's a challenging, dynamic role because logistics is always moving. Our customers are spread all over the world, and you’ll work with various modes of transport: air freight, sea freight, and road transport. You’ll be based at our headquarters in Zwijndrecht and stay in close contact with the Buying, Sales, Finance, Customer Support, and Warehouse departments.

What You Will Do

• You are ultimately responsible for the Shipping department;
• Your team consists of two colleagues in the Netherlands and one colleague in China, whom you are in daily contact with;
• You are responsible for large international projects. In collaboration with the Purchasing department, you initiate these projects, monitor the process, and keep track of the delivery and distribution of our products;
• On a daily basis, you are in contact with the Purchasing, Sales, Finance, Customer Support, and Warehouse departments regarding ongoing customer orders, current delivery times, and special customer requests;
• Monitoring costs, service levels, delivery times, and exceptions;
• Since the logistics world is literally in motion, it is up to you to respond to process issues in a timely manner;
• You prepare the invoicing of orders for the Finance department;
• You proactively suggest improvements;
• Weekly, you report to the COO, your manager.

What You Bring...

• At least 5 years in logistics, within an international environment;
• As a leader, you have at least 2 years of proven experience;
• A passion for fashion is a strong plus;
• You are able to work operationally and think along on a strategic level;
• With your perseverance and positive attitude, you know how to motivate your team;
• Being able to switch quickly is in your blood, and you can identify and solve ad hoc problems;
• Since you are right in the middle of the organization, it’s very important to be able to collaborate with different types of departments and international colleagues;
• You speak fluent Dutch and English;
• Experience with ERP or CRM systems: S4 is a plus.
