Job summary

Bleckmann is seeking a hands-on logistics professional to support warehouse operations in Almelo, Netherlands. The role focuses on managing warehouse staff, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality procedures are followed within a dynamic, international environment.

You will contribute to effective planning, optimize processes, and coordinate closely with teams to meet service delivery goals while adhering to safety and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• MBO-level education with logistics focus is required.
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations and processes.
• Experience managing warehouse staff and coordinating teams.
• Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality procedures.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to efficient department performance and productivity.
• Improve processes to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Propose changes to work methods to reduce errors and lead times.
• Ensure effective communication within and outside the department.
• Assist in implementing HR policies and departmental planning.
• Report to the Supervisor and cover for the supervisor during absences.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Contributing to the optimal functioning of the department;
• Improving productivity and efficiency;
• Making proposals for changes in work execution, methods, and procedures with the aim of enhancing service delivery and increasing both internal and external customer satisfaction;
• Minimizing the number of errors;
• Reducing lead times;
• Ensuring effective communication and collaboration within and outside the department;
• Assisting in the implementation of HR policies;
• Realizing the departmental planning;
• Reporting to the Supervisor;
• Taking over various tasks in the absence or during the leave of the Supervisor;
• Proactively contributing to the continuous improvement methodology.

Profile:

• MBO-level working and thinking (intermediate vocational education);
• Good knowledge of logistics operations;
• Experience and skills in managing warehouse employees;
• Solid knowledge of warehouse management systems (preferably PKMS);
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude;
• Experience working with logistics processes;
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
• Experience with implementing ISO 9001 quality procedures;
• Flexible, stress-resistant, and willing to work overtime during (and if necessary, outside) peak seasons;
• Willing to work in various shifts;
• Improvement-oriented, team player, customer-focused with a strong sense of business ethics.
