Job summary

Optics11 is recruiting a Head of IT to lead and develop the organisation’s IT function, shaping strategy across workplace, infrastructure, cloud, OT and enterprise applications. You will manage budgets, vendors and IT operations while maintaining strong security and compliance posture.

You will mentor a multidisciplinary team, drive ITIL-based service delivery and partner with R&D, Product and Security to ensure scalable, reliable technology for global operations.

Qualifications

• Led an IT function through growth and scaling.
• Managed multidisciplinary teams across IT domains.
• Familiar with ITIL-based service management and governance.
• Strong focus on security, risk, and compliance in defence-adjacent contexts.
• Excellent communication with executives; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary IT team covering workplace, infrastructure, cloud, OT, enterprise apps and Product IT Operations.
• Own IT strategy, architecture, roadmap and priorities translating business needs into clear plans.
• Establish ITIL-aligned service model with one Service Desk and defined SLAs.
• Ensure reliability of workplace tech, identity services, endpoints, servers and networks.
• Own budgets and supplier relationships; drive cost efficiency and value.
• Plan IT services for new locations including remote support and logistics.
• Define security controls and coordinate with Security Office on incidents and compliance.
• Collaborate with R&D and Data Science on infrastructure and integrations; support DevOps/MLOps.
