Are you an experienced freight procurement professional with a strong track record in ocean freight, tender management, contract negotiations and freight index developments?

Heuschen & Schrouff is looking for a commercially driven negotiator who knows how to challenge suppliers, negotiate complex freight contracts and translate market developments into competitive transport rates. As Head of Global Logistics Procurement, you play a strategic role within the international supply chain organisation, responsible for the complete freight procurement process across multiple transport modes and temperature regimes. From deep sea and short sea to inland waterways, rail and road.

What will you do?

• Lead international tender processes and sourcing projects for global transport flows
• Select, evaluate and contract Logistics Service Providers
• Negotiate transport contracts, commercial terms and service agreements
• Monitor transport market trends, freight indices and procurement opportunities
• Develop sourcing strategies across multiple transport modalities and logistics networks
• Analyse transport data and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Increase transparency, control and efficiency throughout the transportation network through data, reporting and systems

What do you bring?

• More than ten years of experience in freight sourcing, transport procurement, international tenders and complex contract negotiations within logistics networks
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field
• Strong knowledge of TMS, OMS and 4PL operating models, including EDI and API integrations
• Experience with procurement platforms such as Coupa and familiarity with AEO compliance requirements
• Proven track record in delivering structural cost savings and strengthening compliance within international supply chains
• Strong analytical skills combined with strategic thinking and operational understanding
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence management and international logistics partners
