Job summary

Menlo Ventures is looking for a Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering to lead a high-performing team focused on helping enterprises migrate to the lakehouse and implement advanced AI solutions. You will ensure quality delivery and strategic governance of projects while mentoring engineers.

The ideal candidate has over 4 years of leadership experience and a strong understanding of technical project delivery, alongside experience with Databricks and similar technologies. The role involves partnering with strategic customers and influencing stakeholders at the C-suite level.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of people leadership experience in technical delivery teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a technical solutions architect or data/AI engineer.
• Strong understanding of technical project delivery metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional performance targets and champion delivery excellence.
• Mentor Forward Deployed Engineers through structured career pathways.
• Serve as a critical escalation point for high-stakes customer situations.
