Job summary

The Social Hub in Amsterdam is seeking a Head of Finance & HR Applications to shape and modernize core systems across Finance, HR, and Legal, leading a small team of three.

You will drive tool selection (NetSuite, Tagetik, Coupa, Personio, Pinpoint), streamline payroll workflows, and build dashboards with the data strategy team, while negotiating vendor contracts.

Fluency in English and a hands-on, collaborative leadership style are essential as we scale across Europe.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing back-office systems and optimizing processes.
• Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Hands-on with NetSuite, Tagetik, Coupa, Personio and Pinpoint.
• Proven track record leading small high-performing tech or operations teams.
• Strong vendor management experience and contract negotiation.
• Fluent in English with collaborative communication style.

• Shape and refine our software landscape across Finance, HR, and Legal to support growth and changing needs.
• Spearhead selection, rollout, and upkeep of back-office tools with internal partners and external advisors.
• Map and streamline day-to-day workflows, with payroll optimization as a focus.
• Lead, coach, and support a three-person team while managing external providers.
• Set up engaging training sessions to maximize platform value across teams.
• Partner with the data strategy team to build clear dashboards and reporting tools for Finance and HR.
• Manage vendor contracts and negotiate terms to keep the ecosystem cost-effective.

What You'll Do:

• Shape and refine our software landscape across Finance, HR, and Legal to match our growth and changing business needs.

• Partner with the data strategy team to build clear dashboards and reporting tools for Finance and HR.


• Manage vendor contracts and negotiate terms to keep our system ecosystem cost-effective and efficient.

Who You Are:

• You bring 10+ years of experience managing back-office systems, optimizing processes, and working in agile environments.


• You hold a master’s degree in (Business) Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field.


• You bring hands-on experience with tools like NetSuite, Tagetik, Coupa, Personio, and Pinpoint (or similar HR, Finance, and Legal software).


• You have a proven track record of leading and empowering small, high-performing tech or operations teams.


• You bring strong vendor management experience, from selecting software partners to negotiating contracts.


• You have a structured, optimistic mindset with a knack for turning complex tech challenges into practical solutions.


• You bring fluency in English and a warm, collaborative communication style.
