Job summary

BriqSafe in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer-level leader to reinvent finance as an AI-powered operating system. You’ll architect an AI-first finance operation, own budgeting and cash flow, and drive end-to-end AR/AP processes across international units.

You will build investor-grade reporting, rolling forecasts and real-time financial visibility, with a focus on scalability and automation to support Series A-readiness and rapid international growth.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 7–10 years in finance with ownership of planning, reporting, operations and systems.
• Experience designing, building and deploying AI-powered workflows and agents; integrating AI models with business systems and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Architect an AI-first finance operation with reporting, forecasting, reconciliations and anomaly detection.
• Own the financial engine: budgeting, planning, cash flow, controls and accounting oversight.
• Own AR and AP end to end, from invoicing to supplier payments; automate processes where possible.
• Oversee financial compliance, statutory reporting, tax coordination and audit readiness across international ops.
• Build real-time visibility into ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, gross margin and burn.
• Turn data into decisions with live financial models, scenarios and rolling forecasts.
• Prepare Series A-ready investor-grade reporting and data room.

What You’ll Achieve

• In your first 3 months, you’ll know our numbers inside out and have a blueprint for an AI-first finance function


• In your first 6 months, leadership has reliable, actionable visibility into ARR, churn, burn and cash, without waiting for month-end reports.


• In your first 12 months, finance runs on scalable AI-first infrastructure, routine processes are largely automated, and investor-grade financial reporting is in place.

What You’ll Do

• Architect an AI-first finance operation, with agents for reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, and anomaly detection


• Own the financial engine: budgeting, planning, cash flow, controls and accounting oversight


• Own accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) end to end, from invoicing, collections and reconciliations to supplier payments and working capital. Automate these processes wherever practical.


• Own financial compliance, statutory reporting, tax coordination and audit readiness across our international operations.


• Build real-time visibility into ARR, MRR, NRR, churn, CAC, LTV, gross margin and burn multiple


• Turn data into decisions with live financial models, scenarios and rolling forecasts


• Get us Series A-ready: investor-grade reporting, a ready data room and a sharp financial narrative

You’re Part of the Leadership Team

You report directly to our CEO and have a seat at the leadership table. You challenge assumptions and shape decisions across sales, customer success, product and international expansion. You make financial intelligence easy to use for colleagues who aren’t in finance. And when the finance team grows, you build it - without the bureaucracy.

What You Bring

• An academic degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field


• 7–10 years in finance, with real ownership of planning, reporting, operations and systems


• Proven hands-on experience designing, building and deploying AI-powered workflows and agents, integrating AI models with business systems, APIs and financial data. We want builders, not simply AI users.


• A deep understanding of SaaS economics: recurring revenue, unit economics and growth metrics


• A builder’s track record. You design scalable processes, then roll up your sleeves to run them.


• Native-level Dutch and English, spoken and written If your idea of modern finance is a better spreadsheet, this probably isn’t your role. If it’s a financial operating system that automates the routine, strengthens control, and gives leadership better information, we’d love to meet you.
