Job summary

Mileway is seeking a Head of Data to lead the transformation of its data platform into a trusted business capability. You will own the Databricks platform, data governance, reporting and AI enablement, while empowering domain teams to publish their own data products on a governed platform.

Reporting to the CTO, you will shape the central Data organization, drive a platform-as-a-product approach, and build a high-performing team across Platform, Analytics and AI.

Qualifications

• Senior-level data leadership with enterprise-scale scope.
• Proven track record moving from centralized to federated or self-service data delivery.
• Experience implementing data contracts and domain ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy and adoption of Mileway's Databricks platform across leadership levels.
• Migrate from legacy warehouse to Databricks and decommission legacy systems.
• Ensure scalable, secure, reliable, cost-efficient platform delivery and governance.
• Lead Data Council and enterprise data governance including certification and stewardship.
• Develop enterprise semantic layer and certified metrics for reporting and AI.
