Job summary

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is seeking an Expert Lead for Data Infrastructure & Reliability Engineering within Data Governance & Management.

You will lead IT and Data teams, design reliable Data & AI platform foundations, and ensure compliance, security and operational excellence across atlas-based services. You will drive platform reliability practices, collaborate with Data Domains and CIO offices, and translate strategy into scalable IT solutions.

Qualifications

5+ years in IT/Data roles with at least 1 year in a leadership position.
Good knowledge of Data Platforms, IT Platform management, Data Management and Data Governance concepts.
Broad understanding of IT domains including architecture, platforms, security and operations.
Proven experience in managing distributed engineering or data teams, including offshore delivery teams.
Experience with product and platform ownership in complex, regulated environments.
Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
Strategic thinker with a focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of IT and Data specialists.
Manage HR processes including hiring, onboarding, performance management and talent development.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
Lead distributed onshore and offshore engineering teams, ensuring effective delivery and operational excellence.
Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness across the capability.
Prepare budget plans and optimise investments in line with financial frameworks and priorities.
Translate data strategy into solutions, guidelines and IT implementations across domains.
Drive alignment between data governance, data engineering & enablement and AI Products.
Monitor and report on adoption and effectiveness of IT and data standards and policies.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, security and data governance requirements.
Ensure availability, reliability and quality of IT systems and data platforms.
Drive continuous improvement, innovation and automation within the domain.
Deliver, support and maintain reliable Data & AI infrastructure (Atlas) and platform capabilities across the organisation.
Design and standardise infrastructure and reliability engineering capabilities that enable scalable, secure and efficient Data & AI services.
