ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is seeking an inspiring IT Expert Lead (Head of Data Infrastructure & Reliability Engineering) to connect strategy, technology and people across Data Governance & Management.

You will lead teams delivering reliable Data & AI platform foundations (Atlas) and drive governance, security and cost-efficiency at enterprise scale. You will shape a future-proof Data & AI landscape, collaborating with Central Data & AI Office, risk functions and analytics teams, while ensuring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT/Data roles, with at least 1 year in a leadership position.
• Good knowledge of Data Platforms, IT Platform management, Data Management and Data Governance concepts.
• Broad understanding of IT domains including architecture, platforms, security and operations.
• Proven experience in managing distributed engineering or data teams, including offshore delivery teams.
• Experience with product and platform ownership in complex, regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with a focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of IT and Data specialists, ensuring high performance and growth.
• Oversee HR processes including hiring, onboarding, performance management and talent development.
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Lead distributed onshore and offshore engineering teams for reliable platform foundations.
• Ensure audit readiness and align with financial frameworks and strategic priorities.
• Translate data strategy into IT implementations across domains and ensure policy compliance.
• Deliver, support and maintain reliable Data & AI infrastructure (Atlas) and platform services.
