Job summary

Vivid Resourcing partners with a marketing company at the forefront of data-driven growth to recruit a Head of Data based in Amsterdam.

You will own the data vision, partner with the COO, and lead Data Science, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to unlock actionable insights that drive business performance and growth.

This is a strategic, hands-on role shaping data governance, scalability, and literacy across the organization while enabling faster, smarter decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong background in financial services, banking, or fintech data environments.
• Expertise in data architecture, analytics, and governance.
• Solid understanding of marketing analytics, customer data platforms (CDPs), and campaign measurement.
• Hands-on experience with modern data tech stacks
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business recommendations.
• Based in Amsterdam or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s end-to-end data strategy, aligning it with business and marketing objectives.
• Partner closely with the COO to ensure data priorities support strategic growth goals.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire our Data Science, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams.
• Oversee data governance, compliance, and security practices in line with industry standards.
• Leverage experience in financial/banking datasets to strengthen forecasting, customer segmentation, and performance tracking.
• Drive a culture of data literacy across the business.
