Job summary

Caely in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Head of Biofuels & Feedstocks to lead the growth of our trading book and shape the commercial strategy. You will own development of biofuels and feedstock markets, originate opportunities, manage relationships with producers, suppliers and counterparties, and work with risk, operations and finance to ensure executable transactions.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring autonomy, market insight and a collaborative team culture, with a relocation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in biofuels, feedstocks, physical commodities trading, energy trading or related sector.
• Demonstrable experience in physical commodity trading, origination or commercial business development.
• Strong understanding of biofuel and feedstock markets and their supply-demand fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of commodity pricing, risk management and trading economics.
• Experience with physical flows, logistics, storage, transportation or supply chains is desirable.
• Knowledge of renewable fuel regulations and sustainability frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Caely biofuels and feedstocks trading strategy.
• Build and manage a profitable physical and/or paper trading book across relevant markets.
• Identify and originate new commercial opportunities across the supply chain.
• Develop long-term relationships with producers, feedstock suppliers, aggregators, traders and other market participants.
• Collaborate with risk management, operations, finance and compliance to ensure transactions are commercially attractive and executable.
