Client is looking for an experienced Bureau Head who can quickly create an overview, make clear decisions and, most importantly, successfully implement improvements. This is explicitly a hands-on change assignment. The successful candidate will not only identify areas for improvement but will work with the team to implement and embed new ways of working.
About the Role
As Bureau Head, you will provide direction to the relevant team/cluster and create greater structure, efficiency and clarity within the administrative organisation. You will operate at both strategic/tactical and practical levels. You must be able to quickly understand where processes are getting stuck, but your main focus will be ensuring that improvements are actually implemented in day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Analysing the current administrative organisation, systems and work processes and identifying bottlenecks.
- Simplifying, standardising and improving the efficiency of work processes.
- Logically reorganising tasks, responsibilities and the deployment of employees.
- Managing and supporting employees through changes in working methods, collaboration, attitude and behaviour.
- Implementing and embedding improvements.
- Ensuring a proper handover at the end of the assignment.
Expected Outcome
- At the end of the assignment, the administrative organisation should be:
- More structured
- Better organised
- Easier to manage
- Work processes should be clearly defined, tasks and responsibilities should be better distributed, and employees should understand what is expected of them.
- Improvements should also be embedded as much as possible so that the organisation can continue independently after the assignment ends.

- At the same time, you understand that change only works when employees are properly involved.
- You communicate clearly, are approachable and can bring people along with the change without losing sight of the required results.
- Demonstrable experience required in:
- Managing employees or teams within an administrative or business operations environment.
- Organisation and process improvement.
- Analysing and redesigning administrative work processes.
