Hotel Indigo The Hague – Palace Noordeinde invites a dynamic Head Bartender to oversee the bar operation across terrace, restaurant and The Gold Bar. You will lead an energetic team, ensure high standards, and craft memorable beverage experiences that reflect the neighbourhood’s character.

Fluent in Dutch and English, you bring boutique hotel or lifestyle hospitality experience, strong leadership, and passion for hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• Head bartender or senior service experience in hospitality.
• Experience in boutique hotels or lifestyle hospitality.
• Strong beverage knowledge and service operations.
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced environments.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Social Responsibility certificate is a plus.
• Good knowledge of HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, personal, and intuitive service reflecting neighbourhood and hotel etiquette.
• Lead, coach, and motivate the bartender team during shifts.
• Oversee bar operations of terrace, restaurant, and Gold Bar.
• Ensure smooth service flow, cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with hygiene and Indigo brand standards.
• Coordinate closely with the service team; assist with inventory, ordering, and stock management.
• Implement new beverage menus and maintain consistency; monitor quality and efficiency.
• Support upselling initiatives and contribute ideas for local collaborations and guest satisfaction.

At the heart of the Parliament Centre of The Hague, located at a prestigious spot opposite the Royal Palace Noordeinde, Hotel Indigo The Hague – Palace Noordeinde opened it's doors in 2018. Guest Experience

• Supervise bar operations of our terrace, restaurant and Gold bar;
• Ensure smooth service flow, cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with hygiene standards & Indigo brand standards;
• Coordinate closely with the service team;
• Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stock management;
• Implement new beverage menu's and maintain consistency;
• Monitor quality, consistency, and efficiency throughout service periods.

Commercial

• Support upselling initiatives through authentic recommendations and product knowledge;
• Contribute ideas for local collaborations, seasonal activations, and neighbourhood partnerships;
• Help drive guest satisfaction, repeat business, and positive reviews.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a head bartender or senior service role in hospitality;
• Experience in boutique hotels, lifestyle hospitality, or independent restaurants is highly preferred;
• Strong understanding beverage, and service operations;
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced environments;
• Fluent in Dutch and English;
• In possession of a Social Responsibility certificate (big plus);
• Good knowledge of HACCP standards.
